Welcome to the Morvan
"We weren't expecting this". This is one of the most common phrases heard in our Tourist Information Offices, and has become even more so in recent years. Our Destination Morvan Sommets et Grands Lacs is surprising in many ways: its proximity to Paris, its wild nature, its six large lakes that look like Canada, its mid-range mountainous terrain - very technical for sports enthusiasts -, its panoramic views over the limestone plains from the foothills of the massif, its historic sites of Bibracte (Grand site de France), the Château de Bazoches (Maisons des illustres) and Vézelay (UNESCO).
So many reasons to discover or rediscover the Morvan from a new angle.
