Parc naturel régional du Morvan
Remarkably, the Morvan is spread across the four Burgundy départements of Yonne, Nièvre, Côte-d'Or and Saône-et-Loire. Created in 1970, the Morvan Regional Nature Park covers 239,000 ha and extends over 106 communes. This is the only regional entity on the scale of the Morvan, and its mission is to protect, develop and promote a region with a strong identity, blessed by nature and rich in tradition.
The Morvan is criss-crossed by 3,600 km of waymarked footpaths, and a host of leisure and recreation activities make the most of its formidable natural capital: hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, etc. The "Parc" brand, a guarantee of authenticity, traditional know-how and respect for the environment, certifies the quality of products, services and skills, as well as accommodation and restaurants.
