La GTMC, entre Avallon et Autun
In 2018, the GTM (Grande Traversée du Morvan) expands to become the first section of the GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) and runs all the way down to the Mediterranean.
The longest mountain bike Grande Traversée in France, it has almost 1400 km of main route, two variants and several links to public transport access points.
For the Morvan section, the GTMC is 330 km of fun and elevation changes, starting in Avallon, passing through Quarré les Tombes, Saulieu, the Grands Lacs du Morvan, the Morvan mountains and on to Autun via the Burgundy pearl of Uchon.
Altao carwash stations line the route.
Below you'll find pdf files, map extracts to a scale of 25, as well as the GTM partner network and train and bus timetables to get to the Morvan and back to the starting point (bus).
