Magnificent green & nature environment, nestled in the hollow of a peaceful valley with meadows under the wooded ridges of the surrounding hills, on the slopes of the famous Mont-Beuvray, an exceptional belvedere culminating at 821m offering an extraordinary view (as far as Mont-Blanc!), occupied at its summit by the very famous "oppidum" of Bibracte, an ancient Gallic fortified town, one of the best preserved with its ramparts & districts extending over 200 ha (endowed with the prestigious "Grand Site de France" label). Perched "on a balcony" on an exposed plateau, in the heart of a remarkable protected site, adjoining the verdant Méchet valley & the Haut Folin, the highest point in Burgundy (901m), the village benefits from a magnificent preserved rural & natural setting of gentle rolling mountains rich in sublime panoramas & landscapes.
