2016-2026 : Passeurs d'Histoire

Theme 2026: To mark the 10th anniversary of the Musée des Nourrices et des Enfants de l'Assistance publique, the theme for 2026 will be the transmission of history: history with a capital H, but also the more intimate and plural transmission of our personal histories. How do we stage history in a museum to pass it on to future generations? How does it resonate with the stories whispered by our elders, sometimes written in spite of ourselves in our memories or even in our genetic heritage? From mother to child, from education to culture, from mimicry to social pressures, what do we pass on, voluntarily or otherwise? And above all, what do we keep and what do we let go? These are the questions that will guide a programme dedicated to those who pass on history and stories, inviting everyone to explore what they receive, what they interpret... and what they, in turn, choose to pass on.
