Mémorial de Dun-les-Places
The Dun-les-Places memorial passes on the memory of events and people who were victims of Nazi barbarism.
It tells the story of a martyred village and its inhabitants. The events take place over 3 days: 26, 27 and 28 June 1944. Three days that had a profound effect on the life of Dun-les-Places. Three days during which the village was pillaged and set on fire and 27 people were shot and massacred.
This interpretation centre is a place dedicated to remembrance. The three rooms inside give voice to the survivors and show the physical and moral reconstruction after an event of extreme violence. The exhibition features audiovisual creations that give way to testimony and emotion.
Outside, the route through the village offers visitors an encounter with places steeped in history and memory.
