MORVANDELLE POURSUITE - Jeu de société sur le Morvan
A convivial evening for all!
MORVANDELLE POURSUITE is a game inspired by Trivial Pursuit, entirely devoted to Morvan.
A game lasts an average of two and a half to three hours, and the bar is open for drinks and nibbles.
It was created by the residents of the hamlet of Beaumont in Alligny-en-Morvan, and was intended to host a session of Alligny's "Friday follies" in 2018. Later, Pierre and François, two fans of 'general knowledge' games, decided that it would be a shame for such a beautiful game board to be used only once, so they decided to take the game from one commune to the next, while expanding the questionnaire. There are now more than 600 questions, all relating to the Morvan (in one way or another...), divided between the categories of History, Arts and Literature, Geography, Science and Nature, Sports and Leisure and Popular Entertainment and Traditions.
The game is played in teams, with the 'captain' of each team rolling the die and advancing his or her 'rabbit pawn' the corresponding number of squares. The colour of the square on which it lands determines the theme of the question asked by one of the presenters. The team discusses and then the captain gives the answer. If the answer is correct, the team keeps the hand and continues to play. If the answer is not correct, the next team proposes its answer and can then take the hand. A game usually involves 5 or 6 teams, ideally between 20 and 30 participants. The questions alternate between general knowledge, local knowledge and humour, all in good humour, the aim being to spend an afternoon or evening taking stock of your knowledge of Morvan culture.
It's a fun, cultural way for local people and the curious to have a good time, with a bar offering drinks and snacks!
