World-class chamber music in the Morvan.
Eight musicians from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra perform the great chamber music works:

Emmanuel Hieaux - Octet
Carl Nielsen - Serenata in vano
Ludwig van Beethoven - Septet for strings and winds

We logically link what is perhaps the most famous chamber music work of all - Beethoven's Septet - to a work by Nielsen. Nielsen's 'Serenata in vano' was written especially for a series of summer concerts to complement a programme with Beethoven's Septet.

Emmanuel Hieaux's composition was written especially for the Festival Les Étoiles du Morvan to complement this programme.
