From 12 May 2025 to 13 October 2025, the road over the Pannecière dam will be closed to all traffic, including pedestrians and cyclists. This closure is necessary to allow the road over the dam to be completely renewed.
A diversion route will be provided throughout the duration of the works.
DAM ROAD BRIDGE: WHY WORK? WHEN? HOW?
Since 1999, when the road bridge over the Pannecière dam was last renovated, the effects of time and weather conditions have damaged the watertightness of the bridge, potentially threatening its long-term survival. It is therefore now important to renovate it.
Spread over a period of five months, from May to October 2025, the works will involve removing the existing dream, carrying out waterproofing work and upgrading the pavement and roads, including the creation of a cycle lane.
These works will require the road bridge to be closed to all types of traffic (motorised, pedestrian and cyclist) for the duration of the works.
A second phase of works will take place in the second half of 2026.
CLOSURE OF THE ROAD BRIDGE FOR THE DURATION OF THE WORKS
Renovation work on the road bridge will require it to be closed to all types of traffic (motorised, pedestrian and cyclist) for the duration of the works, from May to October 2025.
A diversion route has therefore been set up. If you are heading towards Montigny-en-Morvan, you will need to allow around 7 minutes extra travel time by car.
